A unique combination of three modalities that can be used as a complete process or individually to suit your client’s needs.
The Emotional Identity Technique is a process that Nikki Emerton created after recognising a need to have a concise way of updating a person's unconscious perspective of how they view themselves.
The four primary identities being 'I' 'Me' 'Self' 'You'
There are many different research papers that have looked into the importance of how we view our 'identity' and in terms of therapy, having a congruent identity means that we, as humans, are more likely to respond to others, circumstances and inwardly and make life-enhancing decisions that benefit our overarching goals.
When identities are incongruent, we see behaviours such as:
🙁Setting goals and not sticking to them through self-sabotage.
🙁The inability to deal with conflict in a healthy way.
🙁The avoidance of dealing the with everyday demands of being an adult.
🙁Taking feedback or criticism personally and becoming defensive and overreacting.
🙁Not being able to set and maintain clear boundaries with others.
These are just some of the ways that an incongruent identity perspective may show up.
The Emotional Identity Technique looks at how we view our 'identities' and what needs to shift in order to be more congruent in who we are.
A knowledge of submodality shifts, emotional bodywork and identity work is a must. If you are unsure, please email me in advance to discuss suitability.
This process is designed to allow your client to understand the relationship they have with their emotional body, identities, themselves and others and how this affects their behaviours. This process explores identities, understanding how identities are represented emotionally and somatically and giving the gift that is required that can allow a sense of deep understanding, awakening and a strong inner sense of self.
This 90-minute presentation with the opportunity to practice the process will give you the information required for you to be able to use this technique with your own clients.
