SPA is a trauma-based psychosomatic therapy which combines muscle response testing, light hypnotherapy or meditation and energy-balancing techniques.

It works on the principle that the client doesn’t need to share or relive the trauma verbally - they can allow their physical body to communicate instead.

This enables release in a way that is content-free.

SPA has a clear structure that incorporates many of the tried and tested frameworks employed by many successful therapies.

  • A want and desire for change

  • Checking for secondary gain

  • Creating a safe space for healing to occur.

SPA also allows for flexibility, intuition and a variety of holistic tools can be incorporated into the session.

SPA sessions start with the completion of a client information form, which is the basis of the sessions.

When you arrive, we will spend 10-15 minutes going through the form, your expectations and desired outcomes.

The rest of the session is completed on a therapy bed, allowing the body to do the talking. Clients often find this refreshingly freeing. They do not need to articulate, engage or discuss; they can simply be - relaxed and held in a space to allow the stuckness of the past to be released.
